This article aims to examine the objections to impolitical perspective arising from the publication of Roberto Esposito's book Categorie dell’impolitico (1988). The hypothesis of this paper is that the various positions on the impolitical have as a condition of possibility two different perspectives on the crisis of modern juridico-political notions. In order to elucidate the distinction between “overcoming” and “ulteriority”, it is crucial to analyze the reading proposed by the Italian author himself in the Preface to the second edition of Categorie dell’impolitico (1999). The systematic approach to this question will lead, towards the end of the article, to raise the question about the productivity and relevance of the impolitical point of view in the contemporary debate. |

La hipótesis del trabajo consiste en que las diversas posiciones sobre lo impolítico tienen como condición de posibilidad dos perspectivas diferentes sobre la crisis de las nociones jurídico-políticas modernas. Con el objetivo de elucidar la distinción entre “superación” y “ulterioridad”, resulta crucial analizar la lectura propuesta por el propio autor italiano en el Prefacio para la segunda edición de Categorie dell’impolitico (1999). El abordaje sistemático de esta cuestión conducirá, hacia el final del artículo, a plantear el interrogante sobre la productividad y actualidad del punto de vista impolítico en el debate contemporáneo.In questo articolo analizziamo la ricostruzione e le risposte di Roberto Esposito all’impolitico. La nostra ipotesi è che le diverse posizioni riguardo a questa categoria abbiano come condizione di possibilità due diverse prospettive sulla crisi delle nozioni giuridico-politiche moderne. In questa linea, le critiche all’impolitico presuppongono la possibilità di “superare” questa crisi e, quindi, l’orizzonte dell’impolitico. Per discutere questa interpretazione, indagheremo la portata della nozione di “oltre” per comprendere la prospettiva dell’impolitico, ed espliciteremo il legame tra le prime risposte di Esposito e la struttura concettuale delineata nella prima edizione delle Categorie dell’impolitico. Affronteremo anche i punti in cui il pensatore modula la sua comprensione dell’impolitico e approfondiremo il significato del passaggio dall’impolitico al pensiero della comunità. Neste artigo analisamos a reconstrução e as respostas de Roberto Esposito ao impolítico. A nossa hipótese é a de que as diferentes posições em relação a esta categoria têm como condição de possibilidade duas perspectivas diferentes sobre a crise das noções jurídico-políticas modernas. Nessa linha, as críticas ao impolítico assumem a possibilidade de “superação” dessa crise e, portanto, o horizonte do impolítico. Para discutir esta interpretação, investigaremos o alcance da noção de “ulterioridade” para a compreensão da perspetiva impolítica e explicitaremos a ligação entre as primeiras respostas de Esposito e a estrutura concetual delineada na primeira edição de Categorie dell’impolitico. Abordaremos também os pontos em que o pensador modula a sua compreensão do impolítico e aprofundaremos o significado da passagem do impolítico para o pensamento sobre a comunidade.
