This approach circumscribes our empirical analysis of the trajectories of members of the Legislative Assembly of Buenos Aires between 1822 and 1996.En este artículo se analizan las configuraciones relacionales que en diversos momentos delimitan una determinada figura del político gobernante. Se utiliza el término figura para dar cuenta del proceso a través del cual el sentido asignado a una misma palabra se transforma a lo largo del tiempo en virtud de las modificaciones de los entramados relacionales que condicionan las posibilidades objetivas de acceso a un cargo.
