Results: The main results show that the modification of the physiographydiminishes the visual quality, whereas the natural systems begin to have problems derived from the decrease of habitat surface, due to the fragmentation and environmental fragility. Conclusions: it is a contribution to new investigations of diverse specialties, since it has been verified that the sector has a correctable degradation of the natural landscape, being landscape subject a tool of management.Objetivo: Demostrar cómo ha influido la presencia de la explotación superficial de canteras en la degradación del paisaje natural del cerro Arunta del distrito Gregorio Albarracin Lanchipa de Tacna. Método: La investigación será de tipo básica; el diseño de la investigación es descriptivo y explicativo, siendo por tanto una investigación no experimental. Resultados: Los principales resultados arrojan que la modificación de la fisiografía disminuye la calidad visual, mientras que los sistemas naturales comienzan a tener problemas derivados de la disminución de superficie de hábitat, por la fragmentación y fragilidad ambiental.
