For data collection, the Lima Anxiety Scale (EAL-20) and the Coping with StressQuestionnaire (COPE) were administered. Results: The results showed that there is a statisticallysignificant inverse relationship between two dimensions of stress coping styles, which are problemfocusedcoping and emotion-focused coping, and anxiety (rho = -0.367, p = 0.000; rho = -0.339, p =0.000 respectively).Objetivo: Determinar si existe relación significativa entre estilos de afrontamiento al estrés y ansiedaden jóvenes con edades de 18 a 26 años pertenecientes a la región de San Martin. Metodología:Enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo correlacional y un diseño no experimental, de cortetransversal. La población fue 303 participantes, obtenidos a través de un muestreo no probabilísticopor conveniencia. Para la recolección de datos se administró la Escala de Ansiedad de Lima (EAL-20) y el Cuestionario de Afrontamiento al Estrés (COPE).
