The sample was constituted by 130 students from different Emblematic Educational Institutions of the Ayacucho region. The information collected was treated with the support of Spearman's Rho statistician, achieving from the statistical verification (p=0.000<0.05; Rho = 0.498), concluding that there is a direct and significant relationship between the level of self-esteem and the development of competencies. communication in students of the emblematic Educational Institutions of the Ayacucho region.En este estudio se tuvo como meta investigativa, conocer la relación entre el nivel de autoestima, así como las dimensiones que la componen, y el desarrollo de competencias comunicativas en las Instituciones Educativas Emblemáticas en la región de Ayacucho en el año 2022. Con el fin de alcanzar los objetivos planteados en esta investigación que fue de tipo descriptiva, con un diseño correlacional, se utilizó como instrumento de recolección un cuestionario para medir el nivel de autoestima de los estudiantes, y la revisión documentaria para extraer información referente al desarrollo de competencias comunicativas. La muestra fue constituida por 130 estudiantes de diferentes Instituciones Educativas Emblemáticas de la región Ayacucho.
