It is the purpose of this paper try to establish which functional tests better reflect the degree of liver damage and, therefore, diagnosis and evolutionary rate of the disease in an environment like ours, where liver biopsy is often difficult to carry it out particularly serially.La presencia y extensión de las lesiones hepáticas, así como el subsecuente grado de funcionalidad, pueden ser valoradas con relativa seguridad por una serie de procedimientos bioquímicos. Estos estudios correlativos han venido realizándose desde hace años (1-6) y los resultados han sido concordantes en el sentido que existe una asociación adecuada con algunas pruebas y muy significativa con otras.
