These results are applied to the case of a radiactive Co-57 Mössbauer source in a metallic matrix to determine the spectral characteristics of self-absorption in the source matrix.Se formula la ecuación de trasporte dependiente de la energía para radiación-X y gamma en un medio uniforme que contiene trazas de una especie isotópica capaz de absorber y emitir radiación gamma resonantemente por el efecto Mössbauer. Esta ecuación se resuelve de manera exacta para el caso de medio infinito y de manera aproximada para un medio en foma de lámina.
