The result of the research shows differences where the pronoun tú acquires the sense of confidence and/or affectivity as opposed to usted whose expression implies distance and verticality from top to bottom, but there are also uses that indicate a certain degree of linguistic insecurity.Este estudio se centra en la observación empírica del uso de los pronombres personales de segunda persona tú y usted, y la actitud ante el tratamiento con tales pronombres por parte de hablantes del español que residen en la ciudad de Lima (Perú). El resultado de la investigación presenta diferencias donde el pronombre tú adquiere el sentido de confianza y/o afectividad frente a usted cuya expresión implica distancia y verticalidad de arriba hacia abajo, pero también hay usos que indican cierto grado de inseguridad lingüística.Este estudo enfoca a observação empírica do uso dos pronomes pessoais de segunda pessoa tú e usted e a atitude em relação ao tratamento com esses pronomes por falantes de espanhol residentes na cidade de Lima (Peru).
