The author concludes that corticosteroids may be used in tables or prolonged torpid evolution, in acute cases, the des progressive offset, or to prevent the entry point of the chronic cases. The dose reduction should be tapered in shape to avoid the rebound phenomenon.Se estudiaron cincuenta pacientes que recibieron medicación corticoide, unos por sufrir hepatopatías de diverso tipo y otros que recibieron tal medicación por otros procesos mórbidos y en los que se observó patología hepática subyacente o consecutiva a dicha administración. El autor concluye que los corticoides pueden emplearse en cuadros tórpidos o de prolongada evolución, en los casos agudos, en la des compensación progresiva, o para evitar el ingreso al coma de los casos crónicos.
