description At the beginning of 2020, in Peru, the pandemic had a significant impact that connected aspects such as language, health, education, and information. The objective of this article is to analyze and describe the use of Aymara language borrowings in the Jiwasanaka (‘We’) program during the pandemic. It is very important to detail the role played by the Jiwasanaka (‘We’) program in providing viewers with information about the coronavirus in their native language. Methodologically, the study is qualitative and descriptive. The corpus consists of five videos or five programs that were published on YouTube in March, April, May, and June 2020. The results show that health-related loanwords during the health crisis have been integrated into the language of Aymara speakers due to communicative necessity and the lack of equivalent terms, adapting or being adapted to Aymara grammar.

O objetivo deste artigo é analisar e descrever o uso de empréstimos na língua aimará no programa Jiwasanaka («Nós») durante a pandemia. É muito importante detalhar o papel que o programa Jiwasanaka («Nós») desempenhou ao fornecer informações na língua nativa aos telespectadores sobre o coronavírus. Metodologicamente, o estudo é qualitativo e descritivo. O corpus é composto por cinco vídeos ou cinco programas que foram publicados na rede social YouTube durante o ano de 2020, nos meses de março, abril, maio e junho. Nos resultados, fica evidente que os empréstimos relacionados à saúde durante a crise sanitária foram integrados à linguagem dos falantes de aimara, devido à necessidade comunicativa e à inexistência de termos equivalentes, adaptando-se ou adaptando-se à gramática aimara.A inicios del año 2020, en el Perú, la pandemia tuvo un impacto significativo que conectó aspectos como la lengua, la salud, la educación y la información. El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar y describir el uso de los préstamos en la lengua aimara en el programa Jiwasanaka (‘Nosotros’) durante la pandemia. Es muy importante detallar el rol que cumplió el programa Jiwasanaka (‘Nosotros’) al brindar información en lengua originaria a los televidentes referida al coronavirus. Metodológicamente, el estudio es cualitativo y de nivel descriptivo. El corpus se compone de cinco videos o cinco programas que fueron publicados en la red social YouTube durante el año 2020 en los meses de marzo, abril, mayo y junio. En los resultados, se evidencia que los préstamos relacionados con la salud durante la crisis sanitaria se han integrado en el lenguaje de los aimarahablantes, debido a la necesidad comunicativa que consideran al no existir equivalentes.
