Due to its significance for history, Medicine and San Fernando its still in existence structures would be the adequate ones to shelter the Peruvian Medical History Museum.Este artículo relata de manera breve la larga trayectoria del Hospital Real de San Andrés, abarcando sus inicios en 1552 con Francisco de Molina, su evolución hasta convertirse en uno de los más importantes hospitales de Lima y Perú durante su colonia, su trascendental vínculo con la Historia y la Medicina Peruana, en especial de San Fernando, en la reforma de la enseñanza médica con la creación del anfiteatro de Cirugía y Anatomía, hasta su último día de servicio en Marzo de 1875 fecha en la que es relegado por un hospital moderno para la época como lo fue el Dos de Mayo.
