For this purpose we rely on neorethoric and cognitive linguistics to understand the relationship between thought-language linked to erotic poetic discourse in some poems by the author of Sextinas y otros poemas (1970).En este artículo analizamos la función fundamental que tienen los elementos metafóricos en la construcción del discurso erótico en la poesía de Carlos Germán Belli. Desde nuestra perspectiva, las metáforas y los discursos deglutientes y vigilantes en su poética construyen una singular reflexión sobre la cotidianidad del acto erótico a través del cuerpo.
