After this analysis is done using the software entered demographic factors and consumer habits of the household sector. The results show that energy consumption based on the year 2005 (4.536 GWa) could increase to 7845 GWa in 2030.El presente artículo muestra una metodología para determinar la proyección del consumo nacional de energía del sector residencial para el periodo 2005 – 2030 (Modelo para el análisis de demanda de Energía MAED_D). Se empieza con una descripción de la evolución del sector energético nacional (oferta y demanda de fuentes primarias y secundarias), continúa con el análisis de las causas y efectos de la crisis energética, y de las variables explicativas del consumo de energía en el sector residencial. Se procede con la descripción del MAED_D y se usa el software ingresando los factores demográficos y los hábitos de consumo del sector residencial nacional.
