Sumario:During the eight years preceding the Great War, Mr. Variot examined ten thousand nurses, which blow from the field after being breastfed their own children, for seven months, the Roussel law, seeking placement in the department of the Seine, and they all had an abundant milk secretion. The observer found that the diet of the nurses, bread and soup, formed the base. So also found large consumers of bread among the best nurses in the "Drop of Milk" in Belleville, and the Institute of Childcare "Enfants-assistés" obtaining higher milk production, which increased, in various forms, its ration of bread. Mr. Variot refers to endorse his assertion two cases -of well noticeable among others galactogogia this phenomenon, achieving weight gain in an infant of three months, which rose from 19 grams to 30 grams daily, acquiring its maximum daily gain the fifth month of age, after the mother had increased his ration of bread and soup.
