From the investigations carried out, a 90% decrease in accident rates is shown based on the application of the SBC, and a great relationship is determined in the Safety variables based on the behavior and accident rate of the collaborators.Diariamente suceden en empresas mineras eventos o accidentes de trabajo con resultados de lesiones y fatalidades; de acuerdo a estudios realizados la causa raíz más frecuente de accidentes de trabajo son por actitudes subestándar, de esta forma se reconoce el requerimiento de realizar una investigación con la aplicación basada en la Seguridad Basada en el Comportamiento (SBC) para el análisis y mejora del comportamiento del colaborador, el objetivo del presente estudio fue establecer la influencia de la SBC y la tendencia de accidentes de los colaboradores para enfocarse y trabajar más en la conducta del colaborador, ya que es esta la que ayuda a la anticipación, reconocimiento, evaluación y control de aquellos factores originados o provenientes de los actos subestándares de trabajo, que pueden provocar accidentes, deterioro de la salud, bienestar, incomodidad e ineficiencia.
