Material and methods. Presents a descriptive and analytical study, using information and legal instruments related to curriculum and competencies. Results. A model syllabus for competence to assess the competency standard. Conclusions. Some universities are currently developing curriculum for goals and have not seen a learning teaching skills training.Planteamiento del problema. En nuestro país, muchas universidades, tanto públicas como privadas, aún no han implementado su currículo basado en competencias profesionales. Objetivo. Señalar la importancia de una formación por competencia en la carrera del contador público y establecer la necesidad de plantear un modelo estándar tomando como base las competencias, con la finalidad de que el currículo de la carrera profesional del contador público incremente sus niveles de pertinencia, eficacia y eficiencia, y así formar profesionales competentes que requiere actualmente el mercado laboral. Material y método. Presenta un estudio descriptivo y de análisis, utilizando información e instrumentos legales relacionados con planes de estudio y competencias. Resultados. Un modelo de sílabo por competencias y cómo evaluar la norma de competencia. Conclusiones.
