Until 15 years ago the theories explaining the purple thrombocytopenic mainly concerned that depressed splenic hyperfunction maturation of megakaryocytes or platelets or exit the spleen " kidnapped " the circulating blood platelets produce the corresponding deficit ( 1 ) . These theories that tried to explain certain thrombocytopenic purple did not meet the scientific requirements so that they can definitely accept as causal of thrombocytopenia . In 1951 Evans (2) and Harrington ( 3) show a large percentage of trombocipoténicas purple , agglutinins antiplaquctarias disappearing or decreased according to disease progression .En el amplio campo de la Patología Médica los síndromes purpúricos vinculados a fenómenos alérgicos han adquirido singular importancia debido a los progresos de la Medicina en el terreno de la inmuno-hematología. En estos estudios cobra singular relieve la patogenia inmunitaria de las trombocitopenias. Hasta hace 15 años las teorías que explicaban las púrpuras trombocitopénicas se referían principalmente a la hiperfunción esplénica que deprimía la maduración de los megacariocitos o la salida de las plaquetas o que el bazo "secuestraba" los trombocitos de la sangre circulante produciendo el déficit correspondiente (1). Estas teorías que trataron de explicar ciertas púrpuras trombocitopénicas no llenaban los requerimientos científicos para poderlos aceptar definitivamente como causales de las trombocitopenias.
