Furthermore, I will argue that it is very possible that Spanish priest adapted traditional Roman Catholic celebrations with Prehispanic festivities in order to overlap both religious traditions.Se describen y analizan dos fiestas tradicionales del pueblo de pescadores y agricultores de Huanchaco en la costa norte del Perú. Ambas fiestas, aunque distintas en su origen y significado, guardan profundas raíces en tradiciones ancestrales prehispánicas.
