The future of surgery with these techniques cardioplasty anastomosis or darkens the output almost constant reflux of gastric juice into the stomach. The consequences of this are dire reflux. The resulting almost obligatory: peptic esophagitis, is a new or more severe as the disease megaesophagus. The vast majority of surgeons, with few exceptions, has abandoned these interventions has been seen when the remote results.En este artículo se exponen las operaciones que pueden discutirse en el tratamiento quirúrgico del megaesófago esencial o idiopátíco. De las secciones nerviosas, sólo la sección del esplácnico es practicada por algunos con un fin curativo. Las anastomosis a la manera de Gröndahl, las cardioplástías a la manera de Marwedel-Wendell, dan constantemente resultados inmediatos perfectos o buenos. Dos de nuestros casos, (Casos N° 1, 2) que presentamos, son ejemplos típicos. El porvenir de los operados con estas técnicas de anastomosis o cardioplastía se ensombrece por la producción casi constante de reflujo del jugo gástrico dentro del estómago. Las consecuencias de este reflujo son funestas. La casi obligada resultante: la esofagitis péptíca, es una nueva enfermedad tan grave o más que el megaesófago.
