In the work environment of the 1940s and 1950s these woman were able to work independently and began working at the university and be known scientific authors. This autonomy is not a change to the traditional role but his claim.El estudio de la mujer como profesional en ciencias de la salud, entre las décadas de 1930 y 1950, nos permite comprender el proceso de modernización en el Perú. En estas décadas la UNMSM fue el principal centro de formación profesional, las carreras ofertadas eran medicina, odontología, química farmacéutica y obstetricia. El alumnado de la carrera químico farmacéutica, Facultad en 1943, fue predominantemente femenino. En el medio laboral de las décadas de 1940 y 1950 las químicas farmacéuticas lograron insertarse en forma independiente y en el medio académico y bibliográfico se destacan como autoras científicas.
