description This research study aims to investigate how teachers implement strategies of  differentiated instruction through materials in their classrooms by taking into consideration the diverse students’ profiles. In this phenomenological qualitative article a total of six (6) EFL educators from Pensilvania (Caldas) participated in this investigation, and data was collected through class observations and semi-structured interviews. The results explore the teachers' level of understanding about differentiation, the training they had received on materials' development and the variety of resources provided for each institution, the aspects they contemplate when creating/designing and adapting materials, and the way in which differentiation through materials was carried out in the classroom. In the conclusion of the article, the importance of providing teachers with the necessary resources is emphasized, as well as the necessity for professional development opportunities, and ongoing support to help them meet the student’s needs.

En este artículo cualitativo y fenomenológico, un total de 6 docentes de EFL de Pensilvania (Caldas) participaron en esta investigación, y se recopilaron datos usando observaciones de clase y entrevistas semi estructuradas. Los resultados exploran los niveles de comprensión de los profesores sobre la diferenciación, la formación que han recibido sobre el desarrollo de materiales y la variedad de recursos provistos a cada institución, los aspectos que contemplan cuando crean/diseñan y adaptan materiales, y la forma en la que la diferenciación con materiales se lleva a cabo dentro del aula de clases. En la conclusión del artículo, se enfatiza la importancia de suministrar recursos necesarios a los docentes, así como la necesidad de oportunidades de desarrollo profesional y apoyo continuo para ayudarlos a satisfacer las necesidades de los estudiantes. Esta pesquisa aspira investigar como os professores implementam estratégias de ensino diferenciado por meio de materiais em suas salas de aula, levando em consideração os diversos perfis dos alunos.  Neste artigo qualitativo fenomenológico, um total de seis (6) educadores de Língua Inglesa de Pensilvania (Caldas) participaram desta investigação, e os dados foram coletados por meio de observações de aulas e entrevistas semiestruturadas.
