In a very short time 1 hope a day will come in which peptic ulcer shall be considered only as a medical disease. When it happens the patient who needs surgery will not be a medical treatment's failure but someone who has not received an attention of kindness and understanding.He tratado de presentar a Ustedes, en una forma lo más concisa y breve posible, algunos de los aspectos que, a mi parecer, son de interés e importancia para comprender y tratar el paciente que esté sufriendo de úlcera péptica. Esto significa una consideración del sujeto y de la úlcera péptica pues, preeminentemente en esta asociación, gran parte del progreso de la enfermedad depende del estado psíquico del paciente. No es esperar mucho el guardar la esperanza que vendrá un día en que consideraremos la úlcera péptica como una enfermedad cuyo tratamiento es médico.
