We would also like to attract attention to the real situation of disregard that native peoples have to go through in everyday life. We are sure this situation can be overcome if clear and well ruled laws intending to support native languages are passed.El presente artículo muestra un panorama de la evolución de la legislación sobre lenguas indígenas en nuestro país, desde que se consideró oficial, una lengua diferente al castellano, el quechua, hasta la actualidad en que contamos con una ley que busca preservar las lenguas originarias existentes en nuestro territorio nacional. Del mismo modo, es nuestro propósito llamar la atención sobre el hecho que día a día se extinguen cada vez más lenguas aborígenes dado el real estado de abandono en que viven nuestros hermanos indígenas.
