In the Moquegua and Tacna urban center areas, provinces of Mariscal Sánchez Cerro (Puquina, La Capilla and Omate) as well as in Locumba and Tarata, the infrastructure that has been affected, is due more to deficiencies in construction and/or because of local physical characteristics of the ground and underground. It is concluded that the manifestations of external geodynamics of a wider span are located between the Highlands West border and the Incapuquio Faults system, having this strip acted like a probable resilience zone to the seismic waves.Las manifestaciones de geodinámica externa que han acontecido en relación al sismo del 23 de junio de 2001 en las provincias alto-andinas de los departamentos de Tacna y Moquegua son presentadas aquí. En el área del centro urbano de Moquegua y Tacna, es decir las provincias de Mariscal Sánchez Cerro (Puquina, La Capilla y Omate) así como en Locumba y Tarata, la infraestructura que ha sido afectada es más por deficiencias en la construcción y/o por características físicas locales del suelo-subsuelo.
