These materials are excellent candidates for such applications due to their high solubility for rare earth ions. In the present work, the relationship between the concentration of rare earths in tellurite glasses and its relationship with the optical bandgap and the structural properties of the material was studied.Los vidrios teluritos poseen diversas aplicaciones potenciales en áreas de optoelectrónica y fotónica, tales como la tecnología láser y la fibra óptica, amplificadores ópticos, sensores y conversores de luz. Dichos materiales son excelentes candidatos para dichas aplicaciones tecnológicas debido a su gran solubilidad para los iones de tierras raras.
