Having contrasted the general hypothesis is corroborating that these variables affect in a significant way in children with chronic malnutrition, there is a highly significant relationship between the variables. Likewise, in contrast to the specific hypothesis, it was established that there is an important incidence of fish consumption. And that the price of fish has a highly significant relationship. The method of obtaining the information was carried out with the processing of the surveys to the mothers of the popular canteens, therefore, the statistical program conventional was used, which allowed the univariate analysis of the information. The study was complemented by the use of Microsoft's Word and Excel. We performed the analysis of statistical frequencies and their contrast of the hypothesis with the method of Chi-square and coefficient of contingency. What prevails in this study is the economic and social approach. JEL: I15Este trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general el determinar la incidencia del consumo y el precio del pescado en los niños con desnutrición crónica de la ciudad de Huaraz – Región Ancash. año- 2017. Habiéndose contrastado la hipótesis general se corroboro que estas variables inciden de manera importante en los niños con desnutrición crónica, existiendo una relación altamente significativa entre las variables. Asimismo, contrastando las hipótesis específicas se estableció que existe una importante incidencia del consumo de pescado. Y que el precio del pescado tiene una relación altamente significativa. El método para la obtención de la información se realizó con el procesamiento de las encuestas a las Madres de los comedores populares, por lo que, se utilizó el programa estadístico convencional, que permitió el análisis univariado de la información. El estudio se complementó con el uso del Word y el Excel de Microsoft. Se realizó el análisis de frecuencias estadísticas y su contrastación de las hipótesis con el método de chi-cuadrado y coeficiente de contingencia. Lo que prevalece en este estudio es el enfoque económico y social.
