The research determined the impact of Lean Manufacturing implementation, using 5S and Value Stream Mapping (VSM) tools, on productivity improvement in a metalworking company located in North Lima, 2025. The study is classified as applied research, with a quantitative approach and explanatory level, and employed a pre-experimental design, with measurements taken before and after the intervention. The study population consisted of perforated metal sheets processed between June and September, with data collected through direct observation, productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness record sheets, and Lean application verification forms. Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis was performed using SPSS v25 software, showing a productivity increase of 47.03%, a relative efficiency improvement of 18.96%, and an effectiveness improvement of 24.69% after the intervention. The statistical results validated the alternative hypothesis, demonstrating that Lean Manufacturing methodology significantly optimized productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness in the production area of the considered metalworking company.

La investigación determinó el impacto de la implementación de lean manufacturing, mediante herramientas 5S y Value Stream Mapping (VSM), en la mejora de la productividad en una empresa metalmecánica ubicada en Lima Norte, 2025. El estudio es del tipo aplicado, con enfoque cuantitativo y nivel explicativo, se empleó un diseño preexperimental realizando mediciones antes y después de la intervención. La población de estudio se conformó con las planchas metálicas perforadas durante junio a setiembre, recolectando datos a través de observación directa, fichas de registro de productividad, eficiencia y eficacia, y hojas de verificación de aplicación lean. El análisis estadístico descriptivo e inferencial se efectuó utilizando el software SPSS v25, evidenciando un incremento de la productividad de 47.03%, eficiencia de 18.96% y eficacia de 24.69%. La prueba de Wilcoxon confirmó diferencias significativas (p-valor < 0.05) entre el pretest y postest para las tres variables evaluadas, validando las hipótesis planteadas. Se concluye que la implementación del lean manufacturing incrementa significativamente la productividad, eficiencia y eficacia en empresas del sector metalmecánico.
