The Real Felipe Fortress was one of the most important stronghold of the Spanish Monarchy and the scene of important historical events. It was a key stronghold that controlled the port of Callao, gateway to Lima. One of the greatest examples of Spanish military architecture of the 18th century. Over time it has undergone different interventions and changes of use, it was only in the twentieth century where it was aware of its heritage value and was restored at different times, with different approaches and results. It should be noted that no patrimonial investigations have been carried out. For this reason, this research aims to recognize the interventions and restorations it has undergone and to demonstrate the history of the practice of restoration in Peru. For this there is unpublished information provided by the architect Víctor Pimentel and the support of the military authorities that administer the fortress.
