To determine the variables, the Watson-Glaser (1980) was use for the students' critical thinking variable and for the academic performance variable, the weighted average of the students was used. Concerning the correlation between critical thinking and academic performance, a Spearman's correlation coefficient of 0.249 was obtained, which indicates a weak and positive correlation, for a p-value =.027 <.05, rejecting the null hypothesis (Ho), which shows, with a confidence level of 95%, that there is a significant relationship between Critical Thinking and Academic Performance in the ninth and tenth year students of the 2022-1 academic cycle at the FIEECS. With respect to the dimensions of the critical thinking construct, high percentages were obtained except in the Inference dimension with 54.4%.La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación entre el pensamiento crítico y el rendimiento académico en los estudiantes de último ciclo 2021-2 de la FIEECS de la Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería. La metodología de la investigación tiene un enfoque cuantitativo, el tipo es correlacional con diseño no experimental transversal. Para determinar las variables, se empleó el test de Watson-Glaser (1980) para la variable el pensamiento crítico de los estudiantes y para la variable rendimiento académico se empleó el promedio ponderado de los mismos. En lo concerniente a la correlación entre el pensamiento crítico y el rendimiento académico se obtuvo un coeficiente de Correlación de Spearman igual a 0.249 lo cual indica una correlación débil  y positiva, para un p- valor =0.027 <0.05 rechazando la hipótesis nula (Ho), con lo cual se demuestra, con un nivel de confianza del 95%, que existe relación significativa entre el Pensamiento Crítico y el Rendimiento Académico en los estudiantes del noveno y décimo del ciclo académico 2022-1 en la FIEECS .
