The simplicity and speed of the algorithm of the computer provides a valuable tool that can be used to carry out analysis of different types in ways of fine ships, including ships with bulb prow, and to obtain qualitative results at a cost very low. This way the interference of the different parts of the hull can be analyzed and the forms of the ship optimized to obtain a minimum resistance to the advance for formation of waves.La utilización de la Teoría Potencial para evaluar la Resistencia al Avance de Buques Pesqueros en aguas calmas, es investigada, con el principal objetivo de obtener resultados comparativos que permitan evaluar el desempeño del método teórico para el uso en el proceso del proyecto preliminar. La simplicidad y rapidez del algoritmo computacional provee una valiosa herramienta que puede ser usada para realizar análisis de diferentes tipos de formas de buques finos, incluyendo buques con proa de bulbo, y obtener resultados cualitativos a un costo computacional muy bajo.
