Descripción
Sumario:In this work, the dynamics involved in voltage instability scenarios are investigated using a modified transient stability computer program as an analysis tool. These modifications include models of the equipment and loads relevant to the voltage stability phenomenon, transformer control systems with variable tap, generator overexcitation limiters and a variable step numerical integration algorithm to simulate dynamic phenomena in the long term. The efficiency and usefulness of dynamic analysis is emphasized in investigating the mechanisms involved in the stress collapse process. The adoption of dynamic load models allows the identification of critical parameters that will allow the development and implementation of corrective and preventive measures in order to guarantee safe operation of the electric system. The results of computational studies carried out with a real test power system are presented in which voltage stability problems are identified and from them, measures are proposed to improve the voltage stability of the system.
