FACTORES DE RIESGO MATERNOS PRE-CONCEPCIONALES DE BAJO PESO AL NACER EN GESTANTES DEL HOSPITAL BELÉN, TRUJILLO, 2007 – 2010

Se ha realizado un estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo de casos y controles en el servicio de Ginecología y Obstetricia del Hospital Belén de Trujillo durante el periodo 2007 – 2010. Al recién nacido (RN) de peso menor de 2.500 g, con independencia de la semana gestacional, se definió como caso. Al RN con un peso entre 2.500 g. – 3500 g. con independencia de la semana gestacional, y nacido en el mismo centro e inmediatamente a continuación del caso se definió como control. Se concluye que los factores de riesgo maternos pre-concepcionales del bajo peso al nacer gestantes del Hospital Belén de Trujillo son: edad extrema de la madre, estado civil inestable, no proceder de Trujillo, IMC < 20 o IMC > 30, bajo nivel de instrucción y antecedente personal de aborto y multiparidad. El análisis de regresión logística múltiple señala la contribución positiva de estos factores, estimándose que una madre que presenta todos estos factores tiene la probabilidad de tener un hijo con bajo peso al nacer de 0.8676, y sólo de 0.19 si no presentara ninguno de los factores mencionados.Palabras clave: Bajo peso al nacer, factores de riesgo maternos pre-concepcionales ABSTRACT It was realized a descriptive, retrospective case-control study in the service of Gynecology and Obstetrics at Belén Hospital of Trujillo during the period 2007-2010. The low 2,500 g. newborn weight in a gestational week irrespective was defined as a case. The newborn, with 2,500 - 3500 g. in a gestational week irrespective and born in the same center and immediately after the case, was defined as control. It was concluded that the factors of preconceptional maternal risk at low birth weight in expectant mothers at Belen Hospital of Trujillo are: extreme age of the mother, unstable marital status, non-Trujillo coming, BMI <20 or BMI> 30, low level of education and personal background of abortion and multiparity. The multiple logistic regression analysis indicates the positive contribution of these factors, it is estimated that a mother who has all these factors is likely to have a baby with low 0.8676 birth weight and just 0.19 if it did not present any of the mentioned factors.
