No es un texto simple con una argumentación lineal. Diversas lecciones se obtienen de ella. Algunas enseñanzas pueden parecer contradictorias como el aprecio por la valentía y fuerza sin desmerecer un lugar para la compasión y el perdón. Así el modelo de héroe que nos presenta no corresponde a una máquina de guerra.
