Finally, we give emphasis in the right of all people to choose the way to communicate. Likewise, this article makes certain precisions about some researches that were made in our country related to sign language.En este artículo se presentan algunos conceptos vinculados a la problemática psíquica y comportamental de la sordera, poniendo énfasis en ciertos aspectos de la lengua de señas entendida como vía natural y fundamental del desarrollo psicológico de las personas sordas, sin desconocer la trascendente y enriquecedora experiencia de la educación en lengua oral. Remarcándose finalmente el derecho de toda persona a elegir la forma de comunicarse.
