It is an international instrument to prevent socio-environmental conflicts because it allows increasing the measures aimed at accessing information and generating mechanisms that guarantee a new way of improving decision-making in the States.En el presente artículo se aborda el tema del proceso de suscripción y posterior ratificación del Acuerdo Regional sobre el Acceso a la Información, la Participación Pública y el Acceso a la Justicia en Asuntos Ambientales en América Latina y el Caribe o Acuerdo de Escazú.
