The population covered by the present investigation were: the management and staff of ten schools Amarilis district, in the province of Huánuco, all of which are 18 managers and 260 teachers, with reference to the sample, it is she made through non-probability sampling discretion of the investigator, the same that had 6 managers and 85 teachers. In the discussion of this research it was validated with the results of the testing of the hypothesis, where the test "r" of Pearson, confirms that there is a significant relationship between the executive leadership and teacher performance of educational institutions level secondary Amarilis district, in the province of Huánuco, in 2013, as the value of r = 0.940, means that there is a high positive relationship and validating the research hypothesis.El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo general: Determinar la relación que existe entre el liderazgo directivo y el desempeño docente en las Instituciones Educativas del distrito de Amarilis - Huánuco 2013. Referente al tipo de estudio, utilizado fue descriptivo correlacional, ya que en primera instancia se describió al detalle las variables en estudio, para posteriormente, establecer el grado de relación entre las variables: liderazgo directivo y desempeño docente, en cuanto al diseño de investigación se optó por el Descriptivo – Correlacional, tomando en cuenta las características del trabajo, la técnica utilizada fue la encuesta, con dos instrumentos: cuestionarios. La población considerada para el presente trabajo de investigación fue: el personal directivo y docente de diez instituciones educativas del distrito de Amarilis, de la provincia de Huánuco, que en su totalidad son 18 directivos y 260 docentes, con referencia a la muestra, ésta se hizo a través del muestreo no probabilístico a criterio del investigador, la misma que tuvo: 6 directivos y 85 docentes.
