Pers. (Ly thraceae: Myrtales). Also, parasitism of the pupae of the fl y O. gastrostactus by the parasitoid wasp Pachyneuron albutius Walker, 1843 (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) in the fi eld is recorded for the fi rst time. Distribution information is provided for all the species involved in the work.En el presente trabajo se aporta información sobre aspectos biológicos y ecológicos de la mosca Ocyptamus gastrostactus (Wiedemann, 1830) (Diptera: Syrphidae) y se registran sus larvas efectuando depredación de aphidos “pulgones” Sarucallis kahawaluokalani (Kirkaldy, 1906) (Insecta: Hemiptera: Aphididae) sobre planta de La gerstroemia indica (L.) Pers. (Lythraceae: Myrtales). También, se registra por primera vez el parasitismo de las pupas de la mosca O. gastrostactus por la avispa parasitoide Pachyneuron albutius Walker, 1843 (Hymenoptera: Pteromalidae) en campo.
