Ecological indicators (abundance, prevalence and mean intensity) and the relations of sex, length, width, and weight and sampling site of the fish for all parasites found were analyzed. Prevalence was 78% and mean intensity and abundance were 7.2 and 6.9, respectively. An approximation of the role of the parasite in infections registered in man by accidental consumption of fish with anisakidos was conducted.Este estudio tuvo como objetivo informar la infección por larvas L3 de Contracaecum sp. (Nematoda: Anisakidae) en Oreochromis niloticus Linnaeus, 1758 (Pisces: Cichlidae) en dos lagunas de Huaura, Lima, Perú. Se colectaron 21 especímenes de O. niloticus, 19 especímenes estaban infectados con Contracaecum sp. en el intestino y la cavidad celómica. Se analizaron los indicadores ecológicos (prevalencia, abundancia e intensidad media) y las relaciones de sexo, longitud, ancho, peso y lugar de muestreo del pez para todos los parásitos encontrados. La prevalencia fue de 78% y la intensidad y abundancia media fue 7,2 y 6,9, respectivamente. Se realizó una aproximación del rol del parásito en infecciones registradas en el hombre por consumo accidental de peces con anisakidos.Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal.
