The specimens were collected from epiphytic mosses and analyzed using the sieving method for tardigrade extraction. A total of 65 individuals were identified, with the genera Ramazzottius and Viridiscus being the most notable, which are reported for the first time in the country.A pesar de su amplia distribución global, los estudios sobre tardígrados en Perú son limitados. En este trabajo, se reporta por primera vez la presencia de los géneros Echiniscus, Macrobiotus, Milnesium, Ramazzottius y Viridiscus en la localidad de Llusita, ubicada en la provincia de Víctor Fajardo, Ayacucho. Los especímenes fueron recolectados de musgos epífitos y analizados mediante el método de tamizado para la extracción de tardígrados.
