The hemipteran examined was infested with two specimens of Temnocephala curvicirri Amato & Amato, 2005, found on the ventral surface of Belostoma sp. between the second and third locomotor pair of the insect. Externally, the light colored helminth is characterized by the presence of an adhesive disk with a fingerlike appearance. The temnocephalid was identified by its extremely long and curved cirrus. This is the first report of the presence of T. curvicirri in Santa Catarina.Belostoma sp., un insecto hemíptero del interior del municipio de Bocaina do Sul, estado de Santa Catarina, fue llevado al Laboratorio de Parasitología y Zoología de la Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (UNIPLAC), Brasil. El hemíptero examinado presentó dos ejemplares de Temnocephala curvicirri Amato & Amato, 2005, encontrados en la superficie ventral de Belostoma sp. entre el segundo y tercer par locomotor del insecto. Externamente, el helminto de color claro se caracteriza por la presencia de un disco adhesivo con apariencia de dedo. El temnocéfalo fue identificado por su cirro extremadamente largo y curvo. Este es el primer reporte de la presencia de T. curvicirri en Santa Catarina.Um único espécime de Belostoma sp., inseto hemíptero belostomatídeo proveniente do interior do município de Bocaina do Sul, estado de Santa Catarina, foi trazido ao Laboratório de Parasitologia e Zoologia da Universidade do Planalto Catarinense (UNIPLAC), Brasil. O hemíptero examinado apresentou dois espécimes de Temnocephala curvicirri Amato & Amato, 2005, encontrados na face ventral de Belostoma sp. entre o segundo e terceiro par locomotor do inseto. Externamente o helminto de coloração clara é caracterizado pela presença de um disco adesivo de aspecto digitiforme. O temnocephalídeo foi identificado pelo cirro extremamente longo e curvo.
