For the sample, 70 second-grade primary school students were taken in a census way from Educational Institution No. 64668 La Perla from Yarinacocha, province of Coronel Portillo. The observation technique and its instrument, the observation guide, were used on the variables affective motivational factors and literacy learning. It was concluded that there is a direct relationship between these variables, with a Spearman’s rho coefficient of 0.609, at a 0.05 of significance. The better the affectivity develops, the more literacy will develop. DOI: https://doi.org/10.31876/sl.v2i1.36 El estudio se propuso determinar la relación entre los factores afectivo-motivacionales y la lectoescritura en niños de segundo grado de primaria. La investigación, por su naturaleza, fue teórica; por su alcance, descriptiva, y por su finalidad, cuantitativa; como método general se utilizó el método científico y, de modo específico, el método descriptivo, con diseño descriptivo correlacional. Para la muestra, se tomó de modo censal a 70 estudiantes del segundo grado de primaria de la Institución Educativa N.° 64668 La Perla de Yarinacocha, provincia de Coronel Portillo. Se utilizó la técnica de la observación con su instrumento la guía de observación sobre las variables: factores afectivo-motivacionales y lectoescritura. Se concluyó que existe relación directa entre dichas variables, con un coeficiente rho de Spearman de 0.609, al 0.05 de significancia. Cuanto mejor se desarrolle la afectividad, en la misma proporción, se desarrollará la lectoescritura.
