Independent work is analyzed from multiple dimensions, in this work a theoretical and practical analysis of this method is carried out, emphasizing the need to motivate the student from the orientations. The objective is to expose experiences on the use of variants of independent work in different educational settings, which makes it more motivating for its execution. It was experimented in the first year of the Bachelor's degree in Preschool Education, in the subject Introduction to the Specialty. Due to its effectiveness, methodological activities were developed at the University, the proposed dynamics were experimented and extended to 27 subjects.
