In higher education, and more specifically in the training of teachers and future teachers, it is also considered of special relevance since it favors in the student the development of the personal, social and professional skills necessary to carry out their work in the school environment, an environment in which cooperation is the main organizing tool. This paper presents the experience of incorporating cooperative work in a virtual subject of the postgraduate Secondary Education Teacher Training. A total of 135 students participated in the research (67.5% female; 32.5% male), the mean age being 35.1 years (DT: 7.9). Through a survey, the students valued this work methodology very positively, stating, the majority, having improved or achieved some of the main benefits that this method provides: greater motivation for the task, better final result, the development of critical thinking and have improved their personal relationship skills. The results obtained are discussed and some conclusions are detailed for the development of this type of initiatives in online teaching.El trabajo cooperativo presenta múltiples beneficios en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de los estudiantes de cualquier edad. En la educación superior, y más concretamente en la formación de maestros y futuros docentes, además, es considerada de especial relevancia puesto que favorece en el estudiante el desarrollo de las competencias personales, sociales y profesionales necesarias para ejercer su trabajo en el ámbito escolar, un entorno en el que la cooperación es la principal herramienta de organización. En este trabajo se presenta la experiencia de incorporar el trabajo cooperativo en una asignatura del posgrado de carácter virtual de Formación del Profesorado de Educación Secundaria. Participan en la investigación un total de 135 estudiantes (67.5% mujeres; 32.5% varones), siendo la media de edad 35.1 años (DT: 7.9). A través de una encuesta, los estudiantes valoraron muy positivamente esta metodología de trabajo, manifestando, la mayoría, haber mejorado o conseguido algunos de los principales beneficios que este método aporta: mayor motivación por la tarea, mejor resultado final, el desarrollo del pensamiento crítico y haber mejorado sus habilidades de interrelación personal.
