The research was exploratory and explanatory, with a qualitative and non-experimental approach. Among the main results of the investigation, a significant number of awarded projects and wind farms in execution in Peru were found. Likewise, it was possible to identify the amount of energy produced and that can be produced from these projects, the average price of the power generated, and the areas suitable for development, among others. All this shows that Peru is a country where wind energy is in the process of development, but its potential is not related to the development achieved today.Este estudio presenta un análisis del potencial para el desarrollo de la energía eólica en el Perú a partir de una revisión sistemática de las investigaciones realizadas en los últimos años, considerando diversas variables e indicadores pertinentes. La investigación fue de tipo exploratorio y explicativo, con un enfoque cualitativo y no experimental. Entre los principales resultados de la investigación, se encontró un número importante de proyectos adjudicados y de parques eólicos en ejecución en el Perú. Asimismo, se pudo identificar la cantidad de energía que se produce y que se puede producir a partir estos proyectos, el precio promedio de la potencia generada, las zonas aptas para su desarrollo, entre otros.
