Taking this learning into account seems to be of fundamental importance in recent years: a city that restricts the possibilities of face to face encounters and the learning possibilities in the interaction between bodies and between bodies and landscapes is a city whose destiny is the hardening and failure as a place of well-being. When the ways of living in the city are revealed in everyday activities developed in open green areas and said ways of living are partly linked to the role played by the media, the role of public spaces as city-living laboratories is revealed, and the means and strategies for the management and possible confrontation of the public space crisis in the city are identified. It is in the public and open areas that the chances of creating a more inclusive city are found, where horizontality, collective socializing and respect for diversity can (perhaps) overcome the rigid structures of vertical and exclusive development.Uma investigação das relações entre corpo e paisagem nos parques públicos de São Paulo –acrescida de uma análise da abordagem midiática sobre essas áreas verdes– nos leva a atentar para um aprendizado somático (aprendizado do corpo) como estratégia de geração de significado e vivência na metrópole. Levar esse aprendizado em consideração parece ser de fundamental importância nos últimos anos: uma cidade que restringe as possibilidades de encontros corpo-a-corpo e as possibilidades de aprendizado na interação entre corpos e entre corpos e paisagens é uma cidade fadada ao endurecimento e à falência enquanto local de bem-viver. Quando se desvenda como os parques em São Paulo configuram modos de ser característicos da cidade e se revela que esses modos de ser estão em parte ligados ao papel desempenhado pela mídia, revela-se o papel dos espaços públicos como laboratórios de ser e estar, identificando-se subsídios para a gestão e um possível enfrentamento da crise do espaço público na cidade. É nas áreas públicas e abertas que se encontram as chances de criação de uma cidade mais inclusiva, onde a horizontalidade, o convívio coletivo e o respeito à diversidade possam (talvez) superar as estruturas rígidas de um desenvolvimento vertical e excludente.Universidad de Lima.
