Method, it is basic in scope, explanatory, quantitative, non-specific design. experimental, transversal. 186 children aged 7 to 10 years participated, whose oral cavity was examined in order to determine the number of lost teeth. Descriptive statistics and inference were used to corroborate the hypothesis. The results from the statistical results and analysis of data obtained determine the loss of function of the stomatognathic apparatus in 16.54%, in relation to the chewing capacity and the aesthetic factor. In conclusion: The loss of function of the stomatognathic apparatus has an impact on the chewing capacity and the aesthetic factor in the group of boys and girls from 7 to 10 years old at Colegio Independencia - Puno 2022.Esta investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la perdida de la función del sistema estomatognático en lo referente a la capacidad masticatoria y factor estético en estudiantes de 7 a 10 años del colegio Independencia – Puno 2022. Método, es básica de alcance explicativa, cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, transversal. Participaron 186 niños de 7 a 10 años, a los cuales se le examinó la cavidad oral a efecto de determinar el número de piezas dentarias pérdidas Se hizo uso de estadística descriptiva, e inferencia para corroborar la hipótesis. Los resultados a partir de los resultados estadísticos y análisis de datos obtenidos se determina la pérdida de la función del aparato estomatognático en un 16,54%, en relación con la capacidad masticatoria y el factor estético.
