The objective of this article is to evaluate, from a documentary review, the risk factors in therapeutic interventions and treatment of acute myocardial infarction. It was oriented towards the quantitative research approach; documentary type, with a non-experimental design and the positivist paradigm. A thorough exploration of scientific documents and articles was carried out using databases such as Scielo, Dialnet, UptoDate, Pubmed, Elsevier, among others. The results were that lifestyle contributes significantly to the risk of heart attack. It is concluded that, regarding unhealthy habits, such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and a diet high in cholesterol, they are significantly associated with the risk of AMIEl infarto agudo de miocardio (IAM) es un evento médico grave que resulta de la muerte del tejido cardíaco debido a la falta de riego sanguíneo, generalmente ocasionada por la obstrucción de una arteria coronaria. El objetivo de este artículo es evaluar desde la revisión documental los factores de riesgo en las intervenciones terapéuticas y tratamiento del infarto agudo de miocardio. Se orientó en el enfoque de la investigación cuantitativa; de tipo documental, con un diseño no experimental y el paradigma positivista. Se realizó una minuciosa exploración de documentos y artículos científicos utilizando bases de datos como Scielo, Dialnet, UptoDate, Pubmed, Elsevier, entre otros. Los resultados fueron que el estilo de vida contribuye significativamente al riesgo de infarto.
