description Objective. To determine what are the factors associated with the self-assessment of the learning of procedural content of the scientific method in students of the University of Huánuco, Huánuco, 2018. Methods. The methodology used considers the following design: prospective, transversal, observational and analytical. He had a quantitative approach, because the need for statistical analysis of the information is present. It corresponds to the relational level, so its main characteristic is the bivariate statistical analysis. He studied a sample made up of 741 students from the University of Huánuco who passed the Thesis Seminar course or its equivalent, according to the professional career. The sample was calculated from a study population of 2417 students, with a 95 % confidence  level and an accuracy of 3 %. Results. It was shown that there is an association between the attitude towards research, the motivation for the course, the understanding of theoretical concepts, the contradiction between teachers, the student’s academic background, the teacher-student interaction and the student’s work situation with the self- assessment of the Learning procedural content of the scientific method. Conclusion. Keeping in mind what are the factors associated with learning procedural content opens the doors for further analysis in order to find a solution to the problem under study.

La metodología empleada considera el siguiente diseño: prospectivo, transversal, observacional y analítico. Tuvo un enfoque cuantitativo, por cuanto está presente la necesidad de análisis estadístico de la información. Correspondió al nivel relacional, por lo que su característica principal es el análisis estadístico bivariado. Se estudió una muestra conformada por 741 estudiantes de la Universidad de Huánuco que aprobaron la asignatura Seminario de Tesis o su equivalente, según la carrera profesional. La muestra fue calculada a partir de una población de estudio de 2417 estudiantes, con un nivel de confianza del 95 % y una precisión del 3 %. Resultados. Se demostró que existe asociación entre la actitud hacia la investigación, la motivación por el curso, el  entendimiento de conceptos teóricos, la contradicción entre docentes, el antecedente académico del estudiante, la interacción docente- estudiante y la situación laboral del estudiante con la autovaloración del aprendizaje de contenido procedimental del método científico. Conclusión. Considerar los factores asociados al aprendizaje de contenido procedimental abre las puertas para un análisis mayor a fin de encontrar una solución al problema en estudio.Objetivo. A metodologia empregada considerou o seguinte desenho: prospectivo, transversal, observacional e analítico. Tinha uma abordagem quantitativa, pois a necessidade de análise estatística das informações está presente. Ela correspondia ao nível relacional, portanto, sua principal característica é a análise estatística bivariada. Foi estudada uma amostra de 741 alunos da Universidade de Huánuco que passaram no Seminário de Tese ou seu equivalente, de acordo com sua carreira profissional. A amostra foi calculada a partir de uma população de estudo de 2417 estudantes, com um nível de confiança de 95 % e uma precisão de 3 %. Resultados. Foi demonstrado que existe uma associação entre atitude de pesquisa, motivação para o curso, compreensão dos conceitos teóricos, contradição entre professores, formação acadêmica do aluno, interação professor-aluno e situação de trabalho do aluno com auto-avaliação da aprendizagem do conteúdo processual do método científico. Conclusão.
