Through this paper we can observe different lines of investigation for future research that allow us to know better undergraduate students.El presente artículo constituye una revisión de los estudios realizados en México, referentes al uso que le dan los jóvenes universitarios a las redes sociales digitales. El interés central fue dibujar un escenario que permitiera conocer el cómo se han desarrollado los estudios sobre el tema, con el propósito de identificar resultados alcanzados, hasta el momento, así como mostrar diversas perspectivas metodológicas, aportes relevantes y principales temáticas que se han abordado en los últimos años. A través de este trabajo se pueden observar diversas líneas de investigación para futuras investigaciones que nos permitan conocer de manera más clara al joven estudiante contemporáneo que transita por la universidad.Universidad de Piura.
