They are attending same classrooms where training programs were implemented in developing strategies for mathematics. In turn, we sought to describe the levels of achievement of this troubleshooting. Highest score was determined in the sample of San Juan de Miraflores at the beginning of the investigation. At the end it was observed differences were not signif¬icant (p < 0.01). 50% of subjects reached this level of achievement in solving problems, and 15% reached the process level by the end of the application of this strategy.La presente investigación es de tipo descriptivo ex post facto. En esta se propuso conocer los efectos de la etnomatemática que fue aplicada como estrategia en dos muestras de 30 niños y niñas con promedio de 7.5 años de edad de los distritos de San Juan de Miraflores y el Rímac, al iniciar y finalizar el 2013. Los mismos asistían a aulas en las que se aplicaban programas de formación continua en estrategias para el desarrollo de la matemática. A su vez, se buscó describir los niveles de logro de esta resolución de problemas. Las diferencias no fueron significativas entre la aplicación grupal evidenciada al finalizar. Se determinó mayor puntuación en la muestra de San Juan de Miraflores en el inicio de la investigación. Al finalizar no se observó que las diferencias fueran significativas (p<0.01).
